Alison

Hi there— I’m Alison, an artist and creativity agitator since 2016 and UKCCF* alumni of 2021, I’ve led on creative inter-generational experiences in schools, with community groups and to family doorsteps across the North East of England.

I’m currently working on place based collaborative and independent projects alongside a variety of supporting partners and arts organisations, all which have co-creation as their core.

I view the world from alternative perspectives and angles and this enables me to establish and build relationships and hold spaces within which I can support people to challenge negative narratives and connect people within the communities in which I work. I believe in the power of creativity to inspire others and to transform residential, commercial, or public spaces.

Challenging negative narratives and connecting people

Some things I can help you with

I’ve got your creativity needs covered. Whether it's a one off workshop to catalyse creativity within a small group, a large scale event or a great big complex multi partner project, let’s start your journey to arts for all one small step at a time - and lets do it together.

Here are some of the services I offer:

  • Let’s get that creative project idea out of your head and into action, large and small projects welcome.

  • Create spaces within places for conversations to exist which explore barriers to creative activity and challenge and disrupt the creative status quo. Unpacking sterotypes and language use within the cultural sector.

  • Enabling creatives to refresh and/or explore their own skills and confidence around all things co-creation and engagement exploration. Creating opportunities for creatives to look at their practice holistically and incorporate rest and reflection into their work and projects. Hosting workshops exploring issues such as, burn out, impostor syndrome and creative confidence.
